They call my little town “the big blue hole” and “the sunbelt”, at least on this half of the state.
We supposedly have more sun here because a rainshadow affect. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have clouds.
Every morning I watch as dawn approaches and every morning I see big dark blue clouds covering the sky. It looks like it’s going to rain, but the weather forecast hasn’t predicted any rain. In fact, we only get about 16 inches of rain a year.
By the time the sun comes up over the horizon, the dark blue clouds are being chased away and once the sun is up, the clouds are all gone. It’s sunny and blue sky all day long.
Until dusk, and the sun sets and the clouds come back.
I guess the clouds are afraid of Old Sol and going into hiding until he rests for the night.
